BAND BIO
in 1968, Led Zeppelin reshaped the landscape of Rock n’ Roll. Whisper to Thunder is proud to pay tribute to the mighty Led Zeppelin with a unique vibe of what Zeppelin created back in 68'.
All four Bay Area musicians are highly professional performers with a long impressive list of bands over the last 20 years.
Whisper to Thunder powerfully and soulfully blend blues, rock and roll, soul, folk, and Eastern music with a powerhouse female lead vocalist.
Every live performance is a raw energetic good time with a focus on the intricate musicality of Led Zeppelin’s legendary rocking hits and handful of deep tracks.
Just as Led Zeppelin explored a variety of styles, from English folk ballads to blues and rock, Whisper to Thunder creates their own inimitable, mythical style. The band conceptualized the name “Whisper to Thunder”, based on Jimmy Page’s personal description. When asked “What is Led Zeppelin to you”? Page explains, “We are like a Whisper to a Thunder”.
Whisper to Thunder emulates every performance like riding a dynamic wave of powerful hard driving rock to a soft mythical whisper as a true honor.
Hats off to Led Zeppelin, who opened new extremes of musical expression and remain as one of the best rock and roll bands of all time. Whisper to Thunder has the passion, prowess and pleasure to create and innovate the album-oriented rock songs as a true celebration day for all those who love the original music of Led Zeppelin.
Rachelle Ramm, Vocals
After getting her professional music start in Denmark, Bay Area native Rachelle returned to the bay fronting several local bands. She brings her dynamic stage personality and energy every time...and she's got pipes! And plays a wicked harmonica.
Brad Torres, Drums
Brad is a longtime bay area musician. He plays the drums with passion, and enjoys sharing this passion with the audience. Music has always been apart of his life, whether it was his father playing guitar, or watching his cousin play the drums. Brad continues to listen to all styles of music, and studies all styles of drummers. He considers himself a journeyman musician, and is continually trying to improve his chops.
Dan Hardy, Guitar
Dan is a native bay area multi-instrumentalist, starting with piano at age 6, then alto saxophone, and over the past 30+ years becoming mainly a guitarist. A listener and fan of all types of music, he particularly enjoys the songwriting, the energy, and the technical challenges that being in a Led Zeppelin tribute brings, but most of all the great opportunity to perform with such talented bandmates.
Amir Zitro, Bass Guitar
Amir is a native bay area musician, with a legendary cast of past and current bandmates and projects. We think he rehearses or gigs seven nights a week!
